If you want to know how Neloptics has managed to stay on the forefront of the eye care industry, ask Lizelle Nel. She is not only a passionate optometrist with more than 16 years in the eye care industry, she is also the founder of Neloptics.

She completed her Optometry degree at the University of Johannesburg (used to be The Rand Afrikaans University) and also studied at the University of Pretoria to advance her skills in the eye care industry.

Her specialised combination of interests has made her an invaluable asset in the eye care industry.  “I have an interest in Sportvision, Corneal Refractive Therapy, and Light Sensitivity Disorders.”

She grew up in Kwa Zulu Natal. When not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, or tucked away enjoying some quiet time with her Kindle.

A splendid Optometrist. She obtained her Bachelors Optometry Degree at the University of Johannesburg where she refined her lifelong passion to explore and understand the wonders of the eye.

When asked why she chose this career, her response bristled with passion as she responded “I always wanted to be in the eye care profession from a very young age, and when the time came to choose a career, Optometry was on top of my list. I find the eye very interesting and the technology surrounding it is fascinating. Testing children’s eyes and being able to help them by either visual therapy or specialized contact lenses has proven to be my passion.”

Look at her straight in the eyes, she will smile and say “I am currently using our Corneal Refractive Therapy contact lenses and haven’t been wearing my glasses for a very long time and can therefor testify of its effectiveness.”
